Project Description

St Giles Hospice is a leading charity, offering high quality specialist nursing care to people with serious illnesses.

It is located in a split level building, incorporating a number of patient wards and clinics.

Due to its growing reputation and increased patient requirements, the Hospice decided to expand its on-site facilities to include a new clinic, plans for a new in-patient wing and additional car parking spaces.

Our project management team worked closely with the operational management at the hospice to create an architectural design specifically to meet the detailed needs of the staff and patients.

Solution

Planning for a 5,000sq ft inpatient wing was achieved for the green field site next to the existing hospice

A complete refurbishment and expansion of the Day Care Centre was project managed.

Particular attention was given to the specific requirements of the Hospice management team, including windows designed to maximise the views for patients and bathroom facilities designed to maximise access of staff to patients.

A new Lymphoedema clinic was built, linked to the existing 2-level building.

The car park was extended to incorporate 30 additional spaces.

Outcome

The modern architectural design was created to specifically meet the needs of staff and patients on the ward.

The new clinic has been successfully linked to the 2 level building allowing ease of access for both staff and patients.

The Hospice continues to offer excellent care for people with serious illnesses.
