BAA adopt Millar Management solution for improving terminal 3 at Heathrow
When Millar Management were commissioned to look at upgrading the existing baggage hall at Terminal 3 Heathrow, a solution was develped that would offer an opportunity to greatly improve passenger facilties whilst integrating the direct and transfer baggage operation. The solution means that bags from check-in will be transported by conveyor around to the new baggage facility leaving the existing baggage hall avialable for a new security search facility. There were several complex obstacles in terms of existing infrastructrue, however with 3 D modelling Millar Management planned the route and designed the overall solution
