Surveying Terminal 3 at Heathrow to highlight any upgrades to the fire compartmentation.
£150k, 6 months surveying duration.
Surveys, updating of existing CAD layouts, and s.
Full schedule of remedial works.
Heathrow Terminal 3 management had a planned maintenance budget allocated to the upkeep of the fire compartmentation within the terminal.
The works involved initially ensuring that the floor plans for the terminal were as up to date as possible, then surveying known fire walls and compartmentation, and scheduling where additional works and fire stopping was required.
The works also involved surveys of fire doors, again with a schedule of remedial works necessary.
The works involved a lot of liaison with tenants to gain entry, and in many cases working out of hours due to access restrictions, and to minimise disruption to passengers.
